2003 MED Week Picture Gallery

Mr. Bobby Jefferson, Deputy Director of MBDA, receives an Award
of Appreciation from AMBDR and the MED Week Committee for
encouraging Department of Commerce Grant Funding.

Ms. Wilma Houston, Asian American Reporter (l) is honored
with an $800 business scholarship during 2003 MED Week
Awards Luncheon.

Ms. LaShannon Spencer (l) receives a $1,200 Scholarship from
the MED Week Committee to continue her education.

Judge Willard Proctor (l) and Mrs Alice Abson (r) receive honors
for 2003 Most Innovative Grant through the Cycle Breakers Program,
which provides non-violent offenders with business creation opportunities.

Mr. Michael Steele, CEO of Advantage Communications, which
experienced significant growth over the past two years to be
recognized as 2003 Most Promising Entrepreneur.

Ms. Jean Hicks (r), accepts the 2003 Regional Directors Award
for Rev. Rickey Hicks, Sokoline, Inc., for his local, national and
international business endeavors.

Mr. Lorenzo Smith, Center Stage Music (c) was recognized as
2003 Retailer of the Year at the MED Week Awards Luncheon
at the Little Rock Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Gregory Lasker, Lasker Construction (not pictured) received
the 2003 Minority Contractor of Year Award. A representative
of Lasker Construction accepted for Mr. Lasker.

Ms. Estella Mendoza (c), of Arkansas Spanish Interpreters,
receives dual honors as 2003 SBA Minority Business of theYear
and MED Week Service Provider of the Year.
